According to his agent, free agent pitcher and Berks County native Wade Miller is expected to be offered a major league contract this week.
The Phillies are still listed by ESPN Insider as a potential suitor for the 29-year-old right-hander, though there has been no reported interest from GM Pat Gillick and company. The Astros, who non-tendered him two seasons ago, are considered a front-runner to sign him, according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick.
