Love the show, we'll definitly listen all season. Please check out my blog at philliesfanatic.blogspot.com

I didn't see much discussion on the Phils' pick up of Tim Lahey. He's a 26-year-old righty with good stuff (93 mph sinking fastball, good slider) and bad command. The good stuff/bad command line is starting to look like the Phillies organizational philosophy in terms of the guys they go out and get.

clout, I'm not sure it's as much organizational philisophy as it is organizational mediocrity.

Would people agree that the Nats have a better bullpen than we do?

I'll give it about 25-30 games before jumping off that bridge, Tray...

"There are just too many people on this team that are tired of being mediocre."

Ryan Zimmerman, 3B, Washington Nationals

Too bad the Phillies FO doesn't feel that way about the team's pitching.

Also, with that attitude, beware the spoiler from the District.

One of those "mediocre" Nats -- actually most of us thought he was worse -- is that O. Perez, who gave up 4 hits and 1 run (homer by Chipper) in 5 innings. We of course had "no interest" in him.

Alby, I wonder what it was about Perez that made the Phillies pitching scouts think he wouldn't be an upgrade over Adam Eaton?

Oh, never mind...it was the Phillies' scouts.

BTW, the Nats signed him to a MINOR league contract.

AWH: Odalis probably turned off the Phillies when, unlike our current fifth starter, he failed to express satisfaction with his poor performance.
