June Manuel, 87, passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday, according to the team Web site. Charlie Manuel cancelled his afternoon news conference, but was still with the team as of earlier today. It’s possible the Phillies skipper will depart for Virginia tomorrow and rejoin the club Sunday in Los Angeles for Game 3.

According to espn Manuel is going to manage today's game.

Prayers are certainly with Charlie and his family. I hope the guys come out with some fire and win this one for their manager.

Condolences to Charlie and his family. Not that it's ever easy, but it seems an especially tough break to lose his Mom on the eve of an important playoff game.
Win one for Charlie this afternoon, guys.

First of all I would like to pass along my sympathies to Charlie Manual and his Family...now on to Baseball
This could either fire up your team for a win or let them down...I was expecting a split in Philly...this could take it away...last nightwas a good game..it was just that the outcome did not fall my way...a couple of small things either way could have changed the win to our favor...but you can't always count on the little things to go your way....Good win for the Phils...looking for a different result today...Go Dodgers

Sorry Cholly.
With that, hopefully the boys win one for the gipper-ette today.

Thats so sad.
Life is weird like that, huh... great stuff always seems to be chained to terrible stuff (and vice versa, I guess, which makes it bareable).
